This policy explains how ShineDigit ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use shinedigit.com or our services. We process personal data in line with applicable UAE law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
Data we collect
- Details you give us, such as your name, business name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, website, social media handles, industry and goals.
- Publicly available information about your business, such as your website content and public social media profiles, which we use to prepare your audit.
- Technical data, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected for security and analytics.
- For clients: company and trade licence details, the name and role of the person who signs up, and billing details. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- For clients who connect accounts: data from Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Google, described below.
How we use it
- To prepare and send your free AI audit and respond to your enquiry.
- To provide, manage and improve our services.
- To contact you about our services, where you have asked us to or where permitted by law.
- To protect our website against fraud and abuse.
AI processing
We use third-party AI services to analyse information about your business, draft audits, reports and content, and reply to comments and messages on our clients' behalf. Automated quality checks review this work, and clients can review content in their dashboard before it is published.
Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp (Meta)
When a client connects their accounts through Facebook Login, we receive only the permissions the client approves. We use them to:
- list the client's Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, ad accounts and WhatsApp Business numbers so they can choose which to connect;
- publish content the client has approved to their Facebook Page and Instagram account;
- read comments on the client's posts and publish replies on their behalf;
- read insights such as reach, engagement and follower counts to show results in the client's dashboard and monthly reports;
- create and manage ad campaigns within the budget the client sets, and read their results;
- receive and answer WhatsApp messages sent to the client's business number.
Access tokens are stored encrypted. We use this data only to provide the services to that client. We do not sell it, use it to build profiles of the people who comment or message, or share it with anyone other than the service providers needed to run the services. Comments and WhatsApp messages from our clients' customers are processed on the client's behalf.
When a client connects Google, we read Search Console performance data, Google Analytics traffic data and, where enabled, their Google Business Profile (reviews, local posts and profile metrics), to show results, write reports, reply to reviews and post updates on their behalf. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising or transfer it to others except as needed to provide the services, for security, or to comply with the law.
Disconnecting and deleting data
Clients can disconnect Meta, WhatsApp or Google at any time from Dashboard → Connections, which deletes the stored access tokens straight away. You can also remove our app from your Facebook settings. To delete all your data, follow the steps on our data deletion page.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, such as hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), payments (Stripe), email and AI providers, under appropriate safeguards. Some of these providers may process data outside the UAE.
Retention
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months unless you become a client or ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its processing. Email shinedigit.ae@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site and remember your theme preference. We do not use advertising cookies.
